Le communiqué de presse en anglais : Press release Launch of a new website for facilitating “spiritual computing” between China and the world Renlai monthly, a Chinese-language publication owned by the Taipei Ricci Institute launched on December 1 st “eRenlai magazine” The site offers videos, documentaries, animations, articles and networking tools. It centers on the interaction between the youth of China and of the rest of the world, with special focus on the link between inner growth and sustainable development issues, encouraging change by reporting on replicable success stories at the local level . The first monthly topic explores China 's water challenge. “eRenlai already actively integrates a community of more than 100 contributors relaying the initiatives of 50 groups and organizations located in over 30 cities in Asia and the rest of the world. We believe in promoting simple initiatives that reflect the courage of thinking, acting and sharing, while deepening one's sense of mission and inner dynamism. We wish to help in the integration of Chinese resources into humankind's spiritual computer, that is to say, into the tapestry of thoughts and experiences that shape our common adventure ” explains Sarina Yeh, “network editor” of the site. “Most media today portray a world of fear. This contributes to the growing disdain between the young generation and traditional media, and leaves this audience to rely on their peers for information. eRenlai's ambition is to become a reference point for what Newsweek has just called the ‘We' generation. ” adds Thibaut Camdessus, producer of the site. The direction team also includes Benoit Vermander, chief editor of Renlai and eRenlai, and Claire Shen, Chinese-language editor. ================= Among eRenlai's inaugural features Robert Ronald's The Tortoise and the Hare, the rematch A musical introduction to the Yangjuan primary school , in southwestern Sichuan http://www.erenlai.com/index.php?aid=515&lan=3 In the “Focus” section: China Water Challenges .
